SynqOra Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Data Efficiency Solutions, LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information when authorized users access the SynqOra mobile app and related services.
Use of SynqOra is also subject to the SynqOra End User License Agreement.
Who this policy applies to
SynqOra is DES's commercial field-operations app for business customers. This public App Store listing covers the base SynqOra product, which may be configured or branded for particular customer deployments. Any company or organization may contact DES to evaluate or onboard SynqOra. Downloading the app does not by itself create a service account; individual user accounts are provisioned by DES or customer administrators after onboarding.
Information we collect and process
- Account and identity information, such as your name, work email address, Microsoft Entra sign-in details, technician or labor identifiers, and role or access details.
- Work order and job data, such as assigned tasks, notes, labor entries, completion details, status changes, and related operational records.
- Photos and attachments captured or selected in the app for work-order documentation.
- Precise location information when a user chooses current-location-based routing or mapping features.
- Offline app data stored on the device, including cached work information and queued synchronization content, to support field use when connectivity is limited.
- Technical, operational, and support information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, audit, and improve the service.
- When users choose supported meter or photo workflows, device- or platform-provided text recognition or barcode detection results derived from captured photos.
How we use information
- To authenticate users and provide secure access to SynqOra.
- To display, route, manage, synchronize, and update assigned work orders and related records.
- To upload and process work-order photos and attachments submitted through the app.
- To support meter-reading and meter-identification workflows that use device- or platform-provided OCR or barcode recognition tools.
- To support offline workflows and later synchronization when connectivity returns.
- To maintain service reliability, security, auditing, and support.
- To comply with contractual, operational, and legal obligations.
How information is shared
Information processed through SynqOra may be shared with:
- Data Efficiency Solutions, LLC and authorized administrators who manage SynqOra access and operations.
- Service providers and infrastructure partners that support identity, mapping, hosting, storage, routing, or operational integrations.
- Authorized customer, supervisor, administrator, or operational system contacts when needed to fulfill assigned work, sync status, maintain business records, manage access, or investigate security or support issues.
- Other parties when required to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect safety, or respond to valid legal requests.
SynqOra is not designed as a consumer advertising app. We do not provide in-app advertising, do not sell personal information, and do not use app data for cross-app tracking.
Device permissions and local storage
SynqOra may request access to your device camera and photo library so that users can capture or select work-order photos. The app may also request precise location access for routing and map-based workflow features. The app stores limited local data on the device, including offline work information, diagnostics, cached photos, and queued sync content, to support field operations.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through SynqOra. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to limit unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as needed to provide SynqOra, support business operations, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal or contractual requirements. Local device data may remain on the device until it is synchronized, cleared by the app, removed by device management, or deleted when the app is uninstalled.
If you have questions about retention or want to request deletion through your organization, contact the privacy point of contact listed below.
Your choices
You may choose not to provide certain information or not to enable certain permissions, but some features of SynqOra may not function properly without them. Downloading the app does not create a SynqOra service account; access is provisioned after onboarding and may be removed by DES or the applicable customer administrator.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this location with a revised effective date.
